I was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, an internationally recognized breeding ground for world class rockers.

One day I was riding in the car with my dad and he said, "You need to learn to play an instrument.  Pick out what you want and I'll get if for you for your birthday." 

I said, "I wanna play the drums!" 

He said, "Pick something else". and a guitar player was born.
